Florence: Growing and Developing into the Future with Mayor Julie Aubuchon

Join the Rotary Club of Florence, serving all of Boone County (@FlorenceRotary), on Monday, March 18, 2024, at noon as Florence (@CityofFlorence) Mayor Julie Aubuchon discusses “Florence: Growing and Developing into the Future.” Mayor Aubuchon will share the City of Florence’s accomplishments in her first year in office, including her legislative priorities, key personnel updates and community engagement. Further, she will reflect on the economic development activities for the previous year and provide a glimpse as to what’s in store for 2024.
Dr. Julie Metzger Aubuchon has a long and distinguished career in community involvement, business ownership and government service. She assumed the office of Mayor of Florence on January 1, 2023 after serving 24 years on the City Council. She leads a team of 250 employees in 5 city departments that work tirelessly to ensure that Florence remains a vibrant community. Mayor Aubuchon’s priorities include delivering top-notch city services, offering bountiful recreation opportunities, ensuring public safety and creating economic development opportunities.
Dr. Aubuchon has been practicing Optometry since 1993. She attended Northern Kentucky University, prior to the University of Houston, where she received her Optometry Doctorate degree. She is an active member of the community, being past President of the Kentucky Optometric Association, Boone County Early Childhood Fund Board member, past Chair of Board for the NKY Department of Health, past President of the Kentucky Jaycees, past National President of the United States Junior Chamber and a lifelong member of St. Paul Church in Florence.
She resides in Florence with her husband Pat and their son, Brady.
